The Arvus Group New Zealand designed Hypacoustic™ to reproduce

the emotive content of film soundtracks far more accurately than any other system, thus faithfully expressing the sound designer's every intention.

Hypacoustic™ goes beyond all previous Cinema standards as auditory psycho-kinetic understanding is implemented to the technology and as a result the sound quality reaches new heights in pure excitement, dynamics and detail. 

 

 

 

Arvus™ first concentrated on understanding the biological and psychological

mechanisms that control our responses to sound. New data was gathered which revealed many critical nuances in sound that must be reproduced to emotionally engage the listener.

The findings showed that all current Cinema speakers are simply unable to reproduce these critical elements in a movie soundtrack, no matter how loud they are played!

This research also revealed the fact that there were huge flaws with traditional loudspeakers and that new technology was required. By testing the responses of dozens of volunteers to various sonic events, Arvus™ was able to create special ‘test tracks’ that allowed further refinement of the Hypacoustic™ system, making it perfectly attuned to the unique characteristics of human hearing.

This means that the ‘emotive’ elements of a film soundtrack can finally make themselves felt when it’s heard on a Hypacoustic™ system.
